Since the move of the official city Christmas tree to Travis Park, there is a lot more room for activities.
The Rotary Club of San Antonio has revealed plans to transform Travis Park into the “Coolest Place in Town” according to their news release. Their vision will build around the ice skating rink with Santa appearances, gingerbread, movie nights, food trucks, music and hot cocoa.
The ice skating rink will be made out of real ice and will accommodate up to 150 people who want to skate starting early December and ending in February 2020.
General admission will be $10 and you can rent the skates for $4.
If this goes well, they plan on bringing it back every holiday season in hopes to become a family tradition for many to enjoy.
