SAN ANTONIO, TX – In an ongoing commitment to privacy and information security, Frost is once again inviting the community to take part in its popular document shredding events at select Frost financial centers in the San Antonio area. The annual Shred-It events offer individuals a safe and convenient way to dispose of sensitive documents while enjoying complimentary treats provided by Frost.
Participants are welcome to bring up to 10 containers filled with paper products to be shredded on-site by Shred-It, a trusted professional shredding service. There’s no need to remove staples, paper clips, or envelopes from your documents. However, the service does not accept cardboard boxes, CDs, DVDs, X-rays, hard drives, or pill bottles.
The events serve as both a privacy protection measure and an eco-friendly initiative. Thanks to the community’s strong participation last year, 271 tons of paper were shredded, leading to the conservation of 4,677 trees, 828 cubic yards of landfill space, and 563 barrels of oil.
“These shred events are a longstanding tradition at Frost,” said a Frost spokesperson. “We know how important it is to protect personal information, and we’re proud to offer this service free of charge to the community. It’s a way for us to give back, promote sustainability, and support privacy.”
