Premier beauty event expands with SalonCentric partnership, more than 180 educational classes and over 115 exhibiting brands

SAN ANTONIO โ€“ Beauty professionals, students and industry leaders from across the Southwest will gather in San Antonio next month as Premiere San Antonio Presented by SalonCentric returns for its largest event yet.

Taking place Aug. 30-31 at the Henry B. Gonzรกlez Convention Center, the fourth annual show will feature expanded educational programming, new interactive experiences and more than 115 exhibiting brands, following a new collaboration with SalonCentric aimed at delivering one of the region’s most comprehensive professional beauty events.

The two-day event brings together professionals from across the hair, barbering, nails, spa and wellness, makeup, brows and lashes industries, offering attendees opportunities to explore emerging trends, shop new products, network with peers and receive hands-on education from some of the industry’s most respected artists and educators.

“There’s something special about the beauty community across the Southwest, and we’re honored to be coming back to San Antonio,” said Erin McDonald, event director for Premiere Shows. “This isn’t just another show. It’s where top artists, educators and brands come together to share expertise while helping professionals, students and entrepreneurs grow their careers.”

New interactive experiences debut

Among this year’s biggest additions is the new SalonCentric Pavilion, where attendees can explore products and demonstrations from brands including Bumble and bumble, Color Wow, Framar, House of Foils and Redken.

Visitors can also participate in a gamified experience for opportunities to win exclusive merchandise and future educational opportunities. Those looking to expand their skillset can enroll in SalonCentric’s Dry Head Spa Certification program, which focuses on one of the beauty industry’s fastest-growing service categories.

For the first time, the event will also introduce a dedicated Demo Stage featuring live demonstrations focused on spa and wellness, nails, makeup, lashes and brows from educators and brands including LeChat Nail Products, Lashbomb and IAMA Artistry LLC.

“SalonCentric is proud to bring an exceptional lineup of our brand partners and the latest product innovations to Premiere San Antonio,” said LeAnn Bobitt, senior vice president of brand strategy at SalonCentric. “We’re committed to providing Southwest beauty professionals with access to the tools, trends and education they need to stay ahead in this ever-evolving industry.”

Returning attractions and shopping opportunities

Returning favorites include the Premiere Lounge, where Ulta Beauty will provide ear piercing and brow services alongside interactive photo opportunities. Guests can also create personalized jewelry at The Premiere Charm Bar by OUTCHARMED.

The popular Color Stage returns with live demonstrations highlighting advanced color techniques and emerging trends, while the Value Center will once again offer exclusive show-only discounts on professional products and equipment.

Attendees can also browse innovations from more than 100 exhibitors, including CHI by Farouk, Kokoist, T3 Micro, Panasonic and Procell Therapies.

More than 180 educational sessions

Education remains a central focus of the event, with more than 180 complimentary classes included with every registration.

The schedule includes hands-on workshops and live demonstrations led by nationally recognized educators such as Rachel Bynum, Presley Poe, Leysa Carrillo, Nicck Townsend, Kirsty Meakin, Savannah Hicks, Olivia Thompson and Wayne Tuggle, along with SalonCentric educators.

Texas cosmetology professionals will also have the opportunity to complete approved continuing education requirements onsite, with representatives from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation available to answer licensing questions.

The Main Stage and Barber Stage will showcase presentations from well-known industry professionals including David Lopez for Ulta Beauty, Anna Cantu for CHI by Farouk, Byrd Mena, Ivan Ross for WAHL, Matty Conrad and Danny Amorim.

Competitions spotlight industry talent

Several high-profile competitions will take place throughout the weekend, including Nailympia, powered by Scratch Magazine, where nail artists compete across multiple categories ranging from live competitions to poster and turn-in events.

Professional and student barbers will also showcase their talents during the Barber Battles, powered by L3VEL3 and sponsored by JRL.

Following Sunday’s programming, attendees are invited to continue networking during the official Premiere San Antonio After Party at Howdy Sore Loser beginning at 5 p.m. The celebration will feature line dancing, live DJs, happy hour specials and exclusive merchandise giveaways.

Registration now open

Early bird registration is available through Aug. 6, allowing attendees to save $40 on admission. Passes for beauty professionals, students and instructors can be purchased online or at participating SalonCentric and State | RDA locations.

Premiere Shows is one of the nation’s largest professional beauty event organizations, bringing together leading brands, educators and professionals through educational programming, product demonstrations and networking opportunities nationwide.

Premiere San Antonio is organized by USA Beauty LLC, a joint venture between Informa Markets, BolognaFiere and the Professional Beauty Association. The organization also produces Cosmoprof North America events in Las Vegas and Miami.
