BOERNE, TX — November 6, 2025 — After years of serving refined Southern fare and Texas Hill Country hospitality, Peggy’s on the Green has announced it will conclude operations at the historic Kendall Inn on November 30.

According to the restaurant’s statement, the decision comes as the new owners of the Kendall Inn plan to transition food and beverage operations in-house, marking a new chapter for the landmark Boerne property.

“The new owners of the Kendall Inn are transitioning food and beverage in-house, and so we will close our doors to make room for the next chapter for the inn and Chef Bohanan’s vision for the future,” the announcement read.

While Peggy’s on the Green will close its doors at the end of the month, Chef Mark Bohanan and his team say they remain deeply connected to Boerne and the Hill Country community that has supported them since opening.

“We’ve proudly served this community and will consider next steps to share the same warm hospitality and elevated cuisine you’ve come to love,” said Chef Bohanan.

Opened by Chef Bohanan — who also owns and operates the acclaimed Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood in downtown San Antonio — Peggy’s on the Green quickly became a destination for those seeking elevated Southern classics in a relaxed Hill Country setting. The restaurant’s closing marks the end of an era for one of Boerne’s most beloved dining experiences.

In its farewell message, Peggy’s extended heartfelt thanks to the community, guests, suppliers, and staff who helped bring the restaurant’s vision to life inside the historic inn.

Though this chapter at Kendall Inn is closing, Chef Bohanan’s statement hints at future plans that may carry the Peggy’s legacy forward elsewhere in the Hill Country.
