Third Annual Taste of Pearl Event Brings Burgers, Soccer and Family Fun to San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO – Father’s Day plans just got a lot tastier. Pearl’s popular Taste of Pearl: Burger Showdown returns for its third consecutive year on Sunday, June 21, inviting families to celebrate dad with a day packed with chef-crafted burgers, soccer viewing parties, shopping and entertainment.
The one-day culinary competition will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pearl, located at 303 Pearl Parkway. Tickets are $20 and include burger samples from participating restaurants, three voting tokens to help determine the People’s Choice winner, and exclusive discounts at select Pearl restaurants and retailers.
This year’s showdown features some of Pearl’s most popular culinary destinations competing for burger bragging rights, including Supper, Otto’s Ice House, Henbit, Burgers by the Butcher from Pullman Market, Cassanova BBQ and additional local favorites. Guests will have the opportunity to sample each burger and cast their votes before the 2026 Burger Showdown Champion is crowned at 4:45 p.m. in Pearl Park.
The festivities begin with the Pearl Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering visitors the chance to browse fresh produce, artisan goods and locally made products before diving into the burger competition.
Sports fans can also catch Global Soccer Championship viewing parties throughout the day, with matches airing at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Organizers encourage attendees to spend the entire day at Pearl, enjoying the games, exploring the district’s shops and restaurants, and taking part in Father’s Day festivities.
The Burger Showdown has become one of Pearl’s signature food events, bringing together talented chefs and burger enthusiasts for a friendly competition that showcases the creativity of San Antonio’s culinary scene.
