Paula Deen’s San Antonio restaurant suddenly closes

It has been confirmed that celebrity restaurant Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen at The Rim did indeed close their doors for good at 5 p.m. on Sunday (July 28) afternoon.

One employee who didn’t want to be identified had confirmed that employees were given no notice about the closure.

Paula Deen’s restaurants are operated by independent operators.

Bass Pro Shop had no comment to the closure but did mention that they will be looking into another tenant to fill the spot.

Before becoming a Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, the spot was formerly Islamorada Fish Company.

The restaurant had been open for a little over 15 months on the Northwest side of San Antonio.

Paula Deen’s Family kitchen has seven other restaurants around the United States that are still in operation.
