Popular Fiesta event skips this year

According to www.tejanoexplosion.com‘s website the event group will be skipping this year due to not finding a suitable venue for 2019. Organizers thanked the fans for the continued support as they attempt to find a venue locked for 2020.

Normally the event has been held downtown across the street at 700 W. Commerce from the Historic Market Square. Since that area is now under development for UTSA expansion project, it’s not an option any longer.

The event has been a part of Fiesta over 25 years ago.

Typically Tejano Explosion is held during Fiesta with big Tejano artists. We’ll be keeping an eye on this in case of any development.
