New ‘one priced’ mexican restaurant to take place of former Fontaine’s

Mexico based Cervecería Chapultepec is about to move into the former Fontaine’s Southern Diner and Bar by the Historic Pearl Brewery.

The chain specializes in one-price food and drinks at its first location in the U.S.

Located at 906 E. Elmira St. which was a former gas station at one point in time, opening is expected within six months.

Cervecería Chapultepec will be selling tacos, tostadas, burgers, cocktails and beer for one fixed price. The price has not been announced for the new location.

Cervecería Chapultepec has over 100 locations in Central and South America.

Fontaine’s had closed their doors back in November when they filed for bankruptcy protection along with their barbeque restaurant The Granary ‘Cue & Brew at the Pearl.

Fontaines had opened up back in June.
