The Mission Drive-In theater was a weekend tradition for San Antonians in the past. Now called the Mission Marquee Plaza, the historical site is turning 70 years old.
To celebrate on March 27th at 6pm the World Heritage Office of San Antonio is bringing a night of 1940’s swing music and dancing along with classic cars. Premiere Kids from the Woodlawn Theater will have a special performance of songs from The Greatest Show Man, Grease, and Jersey Boys. Afterwards, a special screening of the film Pirates of Monterrey will show 15 minutes after dusk. Admission is free and open to the public.
The first 200 people will get complimentary hot dogs and popcorn.
