Michele Norris Ignites San Antonio Book Festival

Special Guest Author: Donovan Thomson (SATX-Rated)

Michele Norris, the former NPR host of All Things Considered, spoke at a Black History Month event for the GET LIT Series in association with the San Antonio Book Festival. The event took place at the historic Carver Community Cultural Center in San Antonio, Texas. Michele discussed her new book, “Our Hidden Conversations: What Americans Really Think About Race and Identity,” which explores the complexities of race in America. The event provided an opportunity for attendees to engage with Norris and reflect on the themes of her book.

The evening was transformative, leaving an indelible mark on those who attended. It was not just about meeting Michele Norris; it was about being part of a moment, a collective experience that would spark conversations and inspire change.

In its 12th year, the San Antonio Book Festival (SABF) continues to celebrate Black authors, highlighting their literary contributions and inviting them to engage with the community. This yearly event emphasizes the variety and depth of African American literature, encouraging conversations and connections between authors, readers, and the wider community.

The 2024 festival is scheduled for April 13, 2024. Learn more at San Antonio Book Festival. https://sabookfestival.org/festival-info
