SAN ANTONIO, TX – August 7, 2024 – Methodist ER | Alamo Heights has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Lantern Award. This accolade recognizes the emergency department’s commitment to quality, safety, a healthy work environment, and innovation in nursing practice and emergency care.
Only 94 emergency departments across the United States met the rigorous criteria for the Lantern Award designation. Among these, only 15 facilities in Texas received the award, with Methodist ER | Alamo Heights being one of just three recognized in San Antonio. This significant achievement underscores the exceptional standards and dedication upheld by the staff at Methodist ER | Alamo Heights.
The Lantern Award is a symbol of excellence in emergency nursing and recognizes emergency departments that demonstrate exceptional and innovative performance in the core areas of leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research.
