McNay Art Museum Names Stacy Hicks Herr as New Head of Development

SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 17, 2025) โ€” The McNay Art Museum has announced the appointment of Stacy Hicks Herr as its new Head of Development, effective June 2. In this leadership role, Hicks Herr will oversee the museumโ€™s comprehensive fundraising efforts, membership programs, and strategic initiatives to grow both contributed and earned revenue. She will also play a pivotal role in planning and managing future capital campaigns.

With over 20 years of experience in the corporate and nonprofit sectors, Hicks Herr has led numerous mission-driven initiatives aimed at diversifying revenue streams and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Her expertise lies in designing and executing impactful fundraising strategies that align with an organizationโ€™s vision and values.

Prior to joining the McNay, Hicks Herr served as Director of Strategic Partnerships and Engagement at Wholesome Wave, a national nonprofit focused on ending food and nutrition insecurity by increasing access to fresh produce. Her past roles also include:

  • Executive Director of the American Heart Association for San Antonio and the South Texas Region

  • Vice President of Development at Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA)

  • Special Events Manager at Junior Achievement of South Texas

Earlier in her career, she worked in the sales and marketing division at Pearson Education and served as a special education teacher for SAISD, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to education and community service.
