Massive Fire Destroys Bésame Bar in Midtown, Cause Still Under Investigation

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 6, 2025) – A massive fire tore through Bésame Bar in Midtown early this morning, leaving the popular nightlife spot heavily damaged.
The San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) received a call about the fire around 4:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived at 511 Grayson Street, they found flames bursting through the roof and out of the front windows of the bar. The intensity of the blaze was so severe that it even melted the gas meter outside the building.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and there was no damage to nearby structures. The bar was closed at the time of the fire, and several food trucks that operated on the property appear to be visually unharmed.
