San Antonio, TX – August 23, 2024 — The highly anticipated Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival is set to begin with a vibrant Kickoff Party on Friday, August 23rd, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Luminaria Pop-Up Gallery in St. Paul Square, located at 126 Gonzales, San Antonio, TX 78205. This event is a unique opportunity to meet the 2024 Featured Artists and celebrate San Antonio’s thriving arts community.

As part of the evening’s festivities, guests are invited to explore the XicaNext Art exhibition, which highlights the significant contributions of Chicanos and Chicanas to the arts in San Antonio. Additionally, works commissioned for previous Luminaria festivals and events will be on display, some of which have been hidden in storage for too long and are now brought back to light.

The Kickoff Party will be a true celebration of art, culture, and community, featuring live music and entertainment. Hosts DFoy Music and DJ Mr. G will create an interactive experience for attendees, making it a night to remember.

The event is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10, with all proceeds benefiting the Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival.
