Luby’s officially sets to close all locations by August
Luby’s has been a San Antonio institution for generations. Now many people are sad to hear that they will be turning off their stoves and ovens in a shut down. The company had announced its plans to liquidate its businesses and their investors get any proceeds.
So you have about until August to hit up a Luby’s soon before they close for good. Some Luby locations even have a drive-thru if you’re not about dining inside yet. The restaurant chain had struggle to stay in business these recent few years but the inevitable was planned by shareholders this past November.
There are nine area Luby’s open in San Antonio to get your last plate at before their closure.
Luby’s was founded in 1947 in San Antonio by Robert “Bob” Luby but moved their headquarters to Houston in 2004.
