The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts will be hosting a screening party for the 1987 film La Bamba. The film gave actor Lou Diamond Phillips his first shot at acting and completely nailed it.
Phillips starred in the film as Ritchie Valens, the Mexican-American singer who had performed the hit song “Donna” and “La Bamba”.
You can view the movie as well as a moderated conversation with Phillips inside the H-E-B Performance Hall after the film.
Visit the Tobin Center’s website for tickets. Proceeds go to the Star Bright 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as their families.
