Loop 1604 North Expansion Project: Weekly Lane Closures Notice – May 17th

In anticipation of the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, the Loop 1604 North Expansion project will not have any planned major closures from Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27. Both Loop 1604 and the I-10 interchange will remain open during this period. However, to maintain the project’s progress, increased weeknight closures will occur prior to the holiday weekend. Below is the detailed schedule for lane closures in Segment 1 and Segment 2, effective from Sunday, May 19 to Monday, May 27.

Segment 1: SH 16 (Bandera Rd.) to I-10

Weeknight Closures (9 p.m. – 5 a.m., Excluding Weekends)

1. Loop 1604 Eastbound Mainlane: Alternating closures from Bandera Rd. (SH 16) to I-10 for barrier installation.
2. Loop 1604 Westbound Mainlane: Alternating closures from I-10 to Bandera Rd. (SH 16) for barrier installation.
3. Loop 1604 Eastbound Frontage Road: Alternating closures from Bandera Rd. (SH 16) to I-10 for barrier installation.
4. Loop 1604 Westbound Frontage Road: Alternating closures from I-10 to Bandera Rd. (SH 16) for barrier installation.
5. I-10 Eastbound Mainlane Exit Ramp to Loop 1604 Westbound: Closure for bridge construction at Leon Creek.
6. I-10 Westbound Ramp/Cloverleaf to Loop 1604 Westbound: Closure for bridge construction at Leon Creek.
7. Loop 1604 Eastbound Frontage Road: Full closure from John Peace Blvd./La Cantera Parkway to I-10 for ramp bridge construction.
8. Loop 1604 Westbound Frontage Road: Full closure from I-10 to John Peace Blvd./La Cantera Parkway for ramp bridge construction.
9. Loop 1604 Westbound Mainlane Exit Ramp to La Cantera Parkway: Closure for ramp bridge construction.
10. Loop 1604 Eastbound Mainlane Exit Ramp to I-10 Eastbound: Closure for ramp bridge construction.
11. Loop 1604 Westbound Frontage Road Entrance Ramp from I-10: Closure for ramp bridge construction.
12. Full Intersection Closures (One at a Time):
– Loop 1604 & Hausman Road
– Loop 1604 & Kyle Seale Parkway
– Loop 1604 & Babcock Road
– Loop 1604 & Chase Hill Blvd.

13. Loop 1604 Mainlane Full Closures:
– Westbound from Kyle Seale Parkway exit ramp to Hausman Road temporary entrance ramp
– Eastbound from Hausman Road exit ramp to Kyle Seale Parkway temporary entrance ramp

Weekday Closures (9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Excluding Weekends)

1. Loop 1604 Eastbound Frontage Road: Alternating closures from Bandera Rd. (SH 16) to I-10 for construction.
2. Loop 1604 Westbound Frontage Road: Alternating closures from I-10 to Bandera Rd. (SH 16) for construction.
3. Turnaround Closures:
– Eastbound to westbound and vice versa at Loop 1604 intersections with Hausman Road, Babcock Road, Chase Hill Blvd./Brennan Ave., La Cantera Parkway/John Peace Blvd., and Kyle Seale Parkway.

Long Term Closures (24 hours a day)

1. Turnaround Closures:
– Eastbound to westbound at Loop 1604 & La Cantera Parkway/John Peace Blvd.
– Eastbound to westbound at Loop 1604 & Kyle Seale Parkway
– Westbound to eastbound at Loop 1604 & Chase Hill Blvd./Brennan Ave.

Segment 2: Loop 1604 & I-10 Interchange

Weeknight Closures (9 p.m. – 5 a.m., Excluding Weekends)

1. I-10 Westbound Frontage Road: Alternating closures from De Zavala Road to Camp Bullis Road.
2. I-10 Eastbound Frontage Road: Alternating closures from Camp Bullis Road to De Zavala Road.
3. I-10 Mainlane Closures: Alternating closures in both directions from De Zavala Road to Camp Bullis Road.
4. Exit Ramp Closures:
– Loop 1604 eastbound to I-10 eastbound
– I-10 westbound to Loop 1604 eastbound
5. Ramp/Cloverleaf Closures:
– I-10 eastbound to Loop 1604 eastbound
– Loop 1604 eastbound to I-10 westbound
6. Frontage Road Full Closures:
– I-10 eastbound at Loop 1604 interchange
– I-10 westbound mainlanes and collector-distributor
7. Mainlane Full Closures:
– Loop 1604 eastbound and westbound at I-10 interchange
– I-10 westbound cloverleaf exit ramp to Loop 1604 westbound
– Loop 1604 westbound cloverleaf exit ramp to I-10 eastbound

Weekday Closures (9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Excluding Weekends)

1. I-10 Frontage Road Closures: Alternating closures from De Zavala Road to Camp Bullis Road.
2. Loop 1604 Frontage Road Full Closures: At the I-10 intersection.
3. Turnaround Closures: At I-10 and La Cantera Parkway.

Long Term Closures (24 hours a day)

1. I-10 Westbound Frontage Road: Right lane closure from Loop 1604 interchange to I-10 westbound entrance ramp.
2. Loop 1604 Frontage Road Closures:
– Eastbound left lane between I-10 eastbound and westbound frontage roads.
– Westbound left lane and westbound to eastbound turnaround before I-10 interchange.

Weekend Closures (9 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday)

1. Full Weekend Closures:
– Loop 1604 eastbound and westbound mainlanes and frontage roads at I-10 interchange.
– I-10 eastbound and westbound mainlanes at Loop 1604 interchange.
– I-10 cloverleaf exit ramps to Loop 1604 and vice versa.
