Long awaited Voodoo Doughnut opens up shop downtown San Antonio

It’s a San Antonio first! Portland, Oregon based Voodoo Doughnuts opened up a brand new store in the heart of the city.

The 24-hour doughnut shop took over the former Playland Pizza spot at 400 E. Houston Street downtown San Antonio. At 8am on December 20th, the doors to the long awaited sweet spot opened up. The weather didn’t deter customers who lined up along the sidewalk down Houston street to get their hands on something sweet and delicious.

According to Voodoo Doughnut’s website, doughnuts start at 95 cents and go up in price depending on the ingredients and design. All their doughnuts are handmade in the store and come in a variety of different shapes and sizes.

This spot offers vegan doughnut options that you can spot on their menu that has a pink v within a circle.

There are 15 stores so far in California, Colorado, Florida, Oregon, Washington, and of course the Lone Star State with locations in Houston, Austin and now San Antonio. Sorry Dallas, there aren’t any locations there yet.
