Local Business Owner in Cibolo Seeks Community Support for Struggling Restaurant

SAN ANTONIO, Tx. (July 2, 2024) โ€“ Spencer Birticel, a local business owner, is reaching out to the community for support to help keep his unique establishment, Axeshack, afloat. Birticel recently posted in the San Antonio Restaurants Facebook group, sharing his story and seeking assistance.

Axeshack, a Pizza & Bar Restaurant with axe throwing, opened late last year at 313 Schneider Drive, Cibolo, TX, 78108. Despite the exciting concept, Spencer and his wife have faced significant challenges in attracting customers and getting the word out about their business.

“I’m not one to typically post like this, but Iโ€™ve learned that sometimes you have to swallow your pride when you need help,” Birticel said. He acknowledges that Cibolo might be a bit far northeast for some San Antonio residents, but he appreciates any opportunity to be seen by the broader community.

The first year has been a struggle for Axeshack, and without an improvement in business soon, they may not survive until the end of the year. Birticel expressed concern about recent closures of other well-known establishments, such as Red Lobster and Hooters, noting the challenging environment for business owners.

Axeshack offers more than just axe throwing. Recognizing that axe throwing may not be for everyone, they now offer free-to-play board games anytime. Additionally, live trivia with axe-cellent prizes is hosted every Tuesday at 7:00pm. Participation is always free for trivia and board games, so guests can come in, grab a drink, and have fun.

For those interested in hosting larger groups, Axeshack can accommodate events such as birthday parties and corporate gatherings. Interested parties can fill out a form on their website, and a representative will provide pricing information within 48 hours. Customers can also visit the Specials & Promotions page on AxeShackTX.com to find out how to get 20% off on axe throwing and more.

Axeshack is a local family-owned business that opened its first location in Cibolo, Texas, in late 2023. The Birticels aimed to bring something new to the Cibolo and Schertz communities and are glad to be part of the community, planning to give back at every opportunity.

Birticel is asking for support in various forms: visiting the restaurant if youโ€™re in the area, following their social media pages, or sharing their posts to help spread the word. Any support from the community could help generate more business and give Axeshack a fighting chance to succeed.

For those interested in supporting Axeshack, more information can be found on their social media pages.
