Local business helped nurse who had motorcycle stolen from apartment complex
A local San Antonio vocational nurse at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe, Mercedes Suarez had her motorcycle stolen from her apartment complex. The 2004 Kawasaki 250 Ninja had sentimental value to Suarez. San Antonio Police had found the stolen bike with heavy damage.
The kind people over at Alamo Cycle Plex heard about Suarez’s story and decided to help. General Manager, Dave Sears stepped to help Suarez with a new 2019 Kawasaki 400 Ninja valued at $5,300.
The story had gained national attention of the Kelly Clarkson Show in a segment that highlights people giving back to their communities.
“I heard the story on the local news” said Sears “And when I learned how much the motorcycle meant to her, and that she was a nurse, fighting for COVID-19 frontlines here in San Antonio, we just had to think about how we could help her out.”
“We really appreciate you showing off this story to the world — what our nurses and frontline workers mean to us,” Sears said in a video sent to the show. “We’re just glad that Alamo Cycle Plex here in San Antonio, Texas could do something to help.”
