The beloved In A Pickle Festival is set to return to the San Antonio area in 2026, bringing two full days of food, family activities and pickle-themed fun. After drawing overwhelming crowds in previous years, organizers have announced major improvements to enhance the visitor experience, including a move to the spacious Helotes Fairgrounds and the introduction of timed-entry tickets.

The festival will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Helotes Fairgrounds, located at 12210 Leslie Road in Helotes. Pricing and ticket information will be released soon, but organizers confirmed that timed-entry admission will be required. Only a limited number of tickets will be available for each entry window to help maintain steady crowd flow and minimize wait times.

Attendees can expect an extensive lineup of creative pickle-inspired food and beverages, ranging from savory to sweet. Festival favorites such as pickle pizza, pickle chamoy, pickle snow cones, pickle beer, pickle roasted elote, pickle salsa and pickle dogs will return, alongside more adventurous offerings including pickle cotton candy, freeze-dried pickle snacks, pickle popcorn and even pickled ice cream.

Entertainment will run throughout the weekend, with live music, local vendors and family-friendly attractions spread across the grounds. A variety of competitions will also take place both days, inviting guests to showcase their love for all things pickle. Contests include kids and adult pickle eating challenges, pickle juice drinking competitions sponsored by Bobโ€™s Pickle Pops, and the Home Pickle Canning Contest. The festival will also host the Pickled Pet Parade, where visitors can enter their dogs dressed in themed outfits for a chance to win prizes.

Saturdayโ€™s schedule features several key events, beginning with the Pickled Pet Parade at 11:20 a.m. Contest entries for the Home Canning Pickle Contest are due at 12:20 p.m., followed by the judging at 12:30 p.m. Youth eating and drinking contests begin early in the afternoon, leading into adult competitions later in the day. Sunday will include additional entertainment, contests and activities for families to enjoy.

Organizers say the expanded venue and new ticketing structure are designed to ensure a smoother, more enjoyable festival experience for guests. With increased space, improved parking availability and carefully managed crowd entry, the 2026 festival aims to eliminate congestion while providing room for visitors to explore food options, participate in contests and shop from local vendors.

With two full days of programming, more room to roam and a curated entry system, the In A Pickle Festival is poised to deliver its most accessible and enjoyable event yet for pickle lovers across the San Antonio area.
