San Antonio, TX (September 12, 2024) – The Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk is celebrating Bourbon Heritage Month in style by partnering with local Texas whiskey distilleries to offer whiskey tastings and signature cocktails throughout September. Located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, the recently renovated hotel will also be part of Garrison Brothers Distillery’s Hye Fashioned Takeover, an initiative raising funds for veterans and military families.
Guests visiting the hotel’s Q Bar are encouraged to post a photo of their old-fashioned cocktail on social media, follow @garrisonbros and @bootcampaign, and use the hashtag #hyefashioned. For each post, Garrison Brothers will donate $2 to the Boot Campaign, a nonprofit organization supporting veterans and their families.
To enhance the Bourbon Heritage Month experience, the Hyatt Regency San Antonio will host bourbon pop-up tastings every Friday in September from 4 to 6 p.m. Guests and locals alike can sample whiskeys from top Texas distilleries, meet representatives from these brands, and enjoy exclusive swag. Each Friday, Q Bar will also highlight signature old-fashioned cocktails featuring a different Texas bourbon.
Bourbon Pop-Up Schedule:
- Friday, September 13: 1693 Distillery, Rye Whiskey Bourbon
- Friday, September 20: Still Austin, Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- Friday, September 27: Ranger Creek, .36 Texas Bourbon
Beyond bourbon tastings, the hotel’s Q Kitchen | Bar will offer chef-crafted dishes, locally brewed beers, and handcrafted cocktails with stunning views of the River Walk. The 55-foot granite bar and lounge seating provide the perfect setting for watching sports, socializing with friends, or enjoying live music every Friday and Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Ideally located between the historic Alamo Plaza and the River Walk, Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk offers easy access to some of the city’s most popular attractions, including La Villita, the Esquire Tavern, and premier shopping at River Center Mall and Market Square. Visitors can also explore local parks and museums such as the Briscoe Western Art Museum, Travis Park, the San Antonio Museum of Art, and more.
