SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 17, 2025) – This January, Hotel Contessa invites San Antonians to experience a weekend celebrating art, music, and community along the iconic River Walk. Featuring its inaugural Jazz Night and the “Love is in the Air” Solo Art Exhibit and Art Fair, the weekend will support local hospitality through the Fireman Sam and River Walk Royalty initiatives.

- Guests receive a complimentary “Bees Knees” cocktail with a password provided at check-in.

Sunday, Jan. 26 – “Love is in the Air” Solo Art Exhibit and Art Fair

- Over a dozen local artists showcasing paintings, prints, jewelry, home decor, and more.
- Live music from Kyle Broll.
The event takes place from 11:30 AM to 3 PM on the hotel’s lower level, overlooking the River Walk in the Atrium and Cypress Room. Entry is free, and proceeds will be donated to Fireman Sam’s candidacy for River Walk King.
Supporting Local Hospitality
Proceeds from the weekend’s events will benefit Fireman Sam and River Walk Royalty, supporting scholarships for students pursuing careers in hospitality.
Fireman Sam, a San Antonio native, firefighter, and community advocate, hopes to raise significant funds to support aspiring hospitality professionals. Having set aside his own dream of becoming a chef due to financial constraints, he now works to mentor the next generation of talent in the city’s core industry.
A Mission Rooted in Community
“Aside from these fabulous events, what makes this weekend special at Hotel Contessa is our commitment to giving back to the community,” said Miguel David, Director of Sales. “Proceeds from Jazz Night and the Sunday Art Fair will help Fireman Sam and River Walk Royalty provide scholarships for local students, ensuring the growth of San Antonio’s hospitality industry.”
Ongoing Celebrations
Hotel Contessa plans to continue its Jazz Night series on the last Saturday of each month, in addition to other programming celebrating its core pillars of art, music, and education. The hotel has seen success with its mariachi events and aims to provide San Antonians a vibrant place to gather and celebrate local culture along the River Walk.
