SAN ANTONIO โ The final weekend of the 2025 Holidays on Houston Street celebration begins Friday, December 12, bringing the seasonโs downtown holiday programming to a festive close with the popular Market Experience.
The weekend kicks off Friday afternoon and continues through Sunday, transforming Houston Street and surrounding areas into a walkable holiday destination filled with live entertainment, shopping, and family-friendly activities. Visitors can enjoy performances by the Alamo City Arts Academy, browse more than 50 local vendors offering curated holiday gifts and artisan goods, and take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Legacy Park.
The Market Experience spans from the Houston Street Bridge through Houston Street and concludes at North Flores Street in Legacy Park. In addition to shopping and live performances, guests can board the Holiday Sights & Festive Nights Tours with Old Town Trolley, which include complimentary holiday glasses designed to enhance views of downtownโs illuminated displays.
Holiday Market hours are scheduled as follows:
-
Friday, December 12: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
-
Saturday, December 13: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
-
Sunday, December 14: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To accommodate the event, several downtown street closures are in effect. Houston Street is closed from North Flores Street to North St. Maryโs Street, while North Main Avenue and Soledad Street are closed between Travis Street and Houston Street. Road closures began at 8 a.m. Thursday, December 11. Access to the City Tower Garage remains available via North Flores Street and Main Avenue from Commerce Street.
Holidays on Houston Street is a collaborative effort led by the City of San Antonio, Centro San Antonio, and Visit San Antonio. The 2025 celebration is supported by FirstDay Foundation, along with sponsors including 300 Main, Downtown West, Frost Tower, Old Town Trolley Tours, The CE Group, San Antonio Spurs, CPS Energy, Wells Fargo, Ridgemont Properties, Zachry Hospitality, Martinez & Associates PLLC, VIA Metropolitan Transit, Waymo, Clark Construction, Guido Construction, and Frost Bank.
Organizers say the event has grown into a signature downtown tradition, celebrating community and seasonal cheer while attracting residents and visitors alike. Last yearโs Holidays on Houston Street welcomed more than 565,000 visitors and featured nearly 393,000 multicolor LED lights illuminating 80 trees across more than 134,000 linear feet throughout downtown.
The 2025 season concludes Sunday afternoon, marking the end of another successful year for one of San Antonioโs largest holiday celebrations.
