Starting on Friday, April 6th, Hemisfair will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with the community. There will be retro throwbacks, history, fun, food and music throughout the entire weekend.
Starting Friday, enjoy free admission to the Institute of Texan Cultures and see a performance of Knuffle Bunny at 6:30 inside the Magik Theater. Rob The Original will be creating masterpieces in the sand area all weekend long. Urban 15 will have a performance and parade at 8pm and entertainment by King Pelican.
On Saturday, enjoy music by Bombasta! A wine festival taking place at the Tower of the Americas where you’ll be able to try the commemorative Tricentennial wine of 2018.
Then on Sunday, take advantage of the yoga session with Mobile Om and Adam Tutor starting at 12 noon till 1pm. Then make your way over to the Tower of the Americas to check out the retro cars from the 1960’s. Enjoy some tunes by Jazz musicians Toro Flores and the Dirty River Dixie Band all happening from Noon till 5pm.
The Institute of Texan Cultures will feature many exhibits with free admission.
