H-E-B modifies purchasing limitations on meat products

On May 1st, according to the H-E-B statement on their website, the grocery giant increased customer purchasing capacity for fresh beef, ground beef, chicken, pork, turkey to a limit of 5 total packages (not five of each). These limits increase from previous of 2 total packages.

The following limits apply to H-E-B stores in the San Antonio area, Central Texas, Gulf Coast, Border region, and certain West and North Texas towns (the following limitsย do not apply to stores in the Houston area or Abilene, Big Spring, Burleson, Cleburne, Granbury, Hudson Oaks, Midland, Odessa, San Angelo and Waxahachie)

However the following limits only apply to H-E-B stores in the Houston area as well as stores in Abilene, Big Spring, Burleson, Cleburne, Granbury, Hudson Oaks, Midland, Odessa, San Angelo and Waxahachie:

  • Ground beef โ€“ limit 4 packages
  • Chicken โ€“ limit 4 packages
  • Brisket โ€“ limit 2

Non-food itemsย (all H-E-B stores)

    • Acetaminophen โ€“ 2 items total (includes baby, trial and travel sizes, OTC)
    • H-E-B Acid Controller/Famotidine and Pepcid 50ct and larger โ€“ Limit 1
    • H-E-B Acid Controller/Famotidine and Pepcid smaller than 50ct โ€“ Limit 2
    • Baby wipes โ€“ 2 items
    • Disinfecting & antibacterial sprays โ€“ 2 items
    • Disinfecting & antibacterial wipes โ€“ 2 items
    • Trial and travel size disinfecting & antibacterial sprays/wipes โ€“ 2 items
    • Liquid bleach โ€“ 2 items
    • Hand sanitizer โ€“ 4 items
    • Hand soap โ€“ 4 items
    • Aloe Vera โ€“ 2 items (Digestive Health, Skincare/Suncare, Healthy Living)
    • Hydrogen peroxide โ€“ 2 items
    • Rubbing (Isopropyl) Alcohol/swabs โ€“ 2 items
    • First Aid and Cleaning Gloves โ€“ 2 items
    • Masks โ€“ 2 items
