A fake coupon offering $150 in free groceries is circulating around social media and some customers think that the grocery giant is behind it.
H-E-B has confirmed that the post is not real and that the store is not offering $150 of free items.
This scam is typical and spread across the internet using different stores in efforts to try to get your information. There’s big risks of criminals phishing for information, especially during a time of crisis. H-E-B relies on their customers to report these posts so that action can be done in efforts to take them down.
If you want to see if a coupon H-E-B has sent out is real, customers can verify them on it’s website.
