SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 29, 2026) — The historic Gunter Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is expanding its long-standing connection to San Antonio’s music scene with the launch of a new monthly Live Music Residency Series at Bar 414, beginning February 2026.

Tucked discreetly behind a gallery wall, Bar 414 is named for the room where legendary blues musician Robert Johnson recorded in 1936. The intimate speakeasy-style venue blends vintage décor, a curated cocktail program, and a moody atmosphere that pays tribute to the hotel’s storied past.

Throughout February, Bar 414 will host a rotating lineup of jazz and blues performers, spotlighting both local and regional talent. Performances will take place Thursday through Saturday evenings from 9 p.m. to midnight. The series will continue monthly, with future lineups to be announced.

“Live music has always been part of The Gunter’s DNA,” said Jiwon Choi, Owner and Managing Director at Axle Capital. “Bar 414 allows us to honor that legacy in a way that feels authentic and intimate, while also giving guests a chance to experience some of the best jazz and blues musicians in Texas in a truly special setting.”

All performances are free for patrons of Bar 414.
