SAN ANTONIO (August 7, 2025) — The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is paying tribute to the life and legacy of the late Leonardo “Flaco” Jiménez with a special remembrance exhibition at the Progreso Community Gallery, located across from the Guadalupe Theater at 1300 Guadalupe Street.
Originally installed in May as part of the Documenting Our Cultura exhibition during the 2025 Tejano Conjunto Festival, the showcase features rare photographs and memorabilia curated by community archivist Ramón Hernández.
A Grammy Award winner, third-generation Conjunto musician, and proud San Antonio native, Jiménez was a pioneer in Conjunto and Tejano music, influencing generations of artists and fans across cultural and geographic borders. Known for his signature accordion sound and collaborations with musicians worldwide, Jiménez leaves behind an enduring musical legacy.
The exhibition is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, inviting the community to reflect, celebrate, and remember one of San Antonio’s most beloved cultural icons.
