San Antonio, TX – The Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk, a premier luxury hotel nestled along the iconic River Walk, is excited to debut two new refreshing themed cocktails in celebration of the 2024 San Japan convention. These special drinks will be available daily at the hotel’s Bar Rojo throughout the convention, which is set to take place from August 31 through September 1, 2024.

The San Japan convention, one of the largest annual anime and pop culture events in Texas, will be held at the nearby Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1. In honor of the event, Bar Rojo has crafted two unique cocktails that are sure to delight convention-goers and hotel guests alike.

The first cocktail, the “Thunder Cloud,” is a vibrant and refreshing mixture of Conciere Rum, Blue Curacao, and lemonade. The second offering, the “Citrus Slayer,” combines the bold flavors of Crème de Cassis, Conciere Gin, grapefruit juice, and Fever Tree Grapefruit Soda. Both drinks are designed to capture the lively spirit of the convention while providing a cool and flavorful escape from the Texas heat.

In addition to these special cocktails, Bar Rojo continues to offer its acclaimed menu of locally-inspired dishes. Guests can enjoy a variety of options, including fajitas, ancho-rubbed baby back ribs, redfish tacos, and smoked brisket sliders, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day of convention activities.

The Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk boasts direct access to the city’s renowned River Walk, with water taxi services available for guests wishing to explore the scenic waterway. Just steps from the hotel, Hemisfair Park, the site of the 1968 World’s Fair, invites visitors to experience its urban green spaces and the newly-opened Civic Park, which hosts an array of events throughout the year, from culinary festivals to live music performances.

Visitors to the Grand Hyatt can also easily reach nearby attractions such as Alamo Plaza, La Villita Historic Arts Village, River Center Mall, and several world-class museums, making it an ideal base for exploring all that San Antonio has to offer.
