Free fruit trees to be given away on January 25, 2020
Wanna score a free fruit and nut tree courtesy of the City of San Antonio Park’s and Recreation Department? Join in the festivities on Saturday, January 25, 2020 8 a.m. till 11 a.m. at The Pearl (732 Avenue A parking lot) for a free tree available at first come, first served basis. The event is held in collaboration with the Alamo Forest Partnership and the City of San Antonio’s Development Services Department is promoting food security, canopy coverage, and helping beautify our community.
Varieties include Apple, Apricot, Avocado, Fig, Lemon, Lime, Nectarine, Olive, Orange, Peach, Pear, Pecan, Persimmon, Plum and Pomegranate trees. 1,500 trees in total will be available.
The event is free and open to the public.
