SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 10, 2026) โ Visitors and locals will have a new way to explore Downtown San Antonio this week as The Local SATX rolls out special free transportation routes on Wednesday and Saturday as part of a city pilot program.
The free routes will operate on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 14, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Stops will include the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, La Villita Historic Arts Village, and Southtown.
The service is part of a pilot initiative led by the City of San Antonioโs Capital Delivery Department, aimed at improving connectivity between Downtown destinations. The program is designed to make it easier for visitors to access local restaurants, bars, shops, and cultural attractions without the need to drive or search for parking.
City officials hope the pilot will encourage increased foot traffic and support local businesses while offering a convenient, car-free option for navigating key areas of the city core.
Riders can board at any designated stop along the route during operating hours, with no fare required. Additional details about future service dates and route expansions are expected following the pilot period.
