Four local parks to be stocked with rainbow trout

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are replenishing area lakes with thousands of rainbow trout. The restock is part of the Neighborhood Fishin’ program.

Earl Scott Pond, Live Oak City Park, Miller’s Pond and Southside Lions Park will be stocked on select days from November through February.

Kids under 16 can fish for free. Anyone holding a fishing pole must be 17-years-old or over with a valid fishing license except when fishing in a Texas State Park.

The rainbow trout stock will be large enough for anyone to eat.
