FINAL FIESTA: Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series to Bid Farewell to San Antonio with Music and Miles

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Nov. XX, 2024) – After 16 electrifying years, the Rock ‘n’ Roll® Running Series is gearing up for its final weekend in San Antonio. On December 7th and 8th, downtown streets will come alive one last time with runners and live music, making this grand finale a celebration of fitness, fun, and community spirit.

The weekend kicks off Friday, December 6th, with the Health & Fitness Expo at The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, where participants can pick up race packets, browse wellness vendors, and get inspired for the big events ahead.

Race Day Schedule

  • Saturday, December 7: The 5K and 10K races will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Milam Park (corner of W. Houston St and N. Santa Rosa St).
  • Sunday, December 8: The marathon and half marathon start at 7:00 a.m. at San Antonio City Hall (S. Flores & Dolorosa). Finishers and fans can enjoy encore entertainment from Tom Yankton from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Volunteers Needed
Organizers are still seeking volunteers to help make this final event a success. Community members interested in joining the festivities as volunteers can sign up through the official event website.

Media Credentials
Media representatives interested in covering the event must register by Friday, November 29th at 12:00 p.m. CST. Credentials can be requested via the official website, with approvals and pickup details provided upon submission. Walk-up requests on race days will not be accommodated.
