It’s officially pizza review time, San Antonio! Dave “El Presidente” Portnoy — the outspoken founder of Barstool Sports and the internet’s most trusted pizza critic — is back in the Alamo City, and he’s bringing more than just his appetite.
As the creator of the wildly popular One Bite review series, Portnoy has built a pizza empire by reviewing pies across the country “one bite at a time.” With his signature phrase, “Everybody knows the rules,” Dave rates pizza on a 1–10 scale (decimals matter!), focusing on flavor, crust, structure, and whether the slice has that dreaded flop.
And when it comes to preferences, Dave keeps it simple: he favors a classic “bar pizza” — thin, crispy, cheesy, and absolutely no toppings. Just sauce, cheese, and good execution.
