2026 Thru The Chute

Thru the Chute returns to New Braunfels with its signature blend of creativity, competition, and crowd energy. Held annually at the New Braunfels City Tube Chute, the event challenges teams to design and race handmade cardboard boats as they launch and attempt to make it thru the chute — all while spectators line the course cheering them on.

🎟️ In-Person Attendance
A free ticket is required to enter the Tube Chute for this event. Due to overwhelming demand, in-person spectator tickets are now sold out. Tickets were made available online on a first-come, first-served basis, with each individual able to reserve up to six tickets to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Fans who weren’t able to secure in-person tickets can still catch the action. A live stream link for Thru the Chute 2026 will be posted here on the day of the event. Local venues interested in hosting an official watch party are encouraged to email specialevents@newbraunfels.gov for more information.

Whether attending in person or tuning in remotely, Thru the Chute continues to be one of the most entertaining and uniquely New Braunfels traditions of the year in New Braunfels.
