SAN ANTONIO, TX — The newly opened Esencia at The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel is ushering in the Lunar New Year with an elevated culinary celebration on Tuesday, February 24, inviting guests to honor the Year of the Fire Horse through food, culture, and community.

The evening will spotlight the culinary storytelling of James Beard–nominated Chef Leo Davila, who has curated a multi-course, family-style dining experience designed to reflect themes of prosperity, unity, and longevity.

Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with a lively cocktail hour, where beverages will be available for purchase along with optional wine, cocktail, and sake packages. Guests will then enjoy a traditional Lion Dance performance before sitting down for a thoughtfully prepared dinner meant to be shared around the table.

The celebration’s menu blends symbolic dishes with bold flavors, including:

• Prosperity Crudo Platter — Smoked seafood, citrus ponzu, house pickles

• Lucky Garden Salad — Compressed fruit, cucumber, yuzu dressing

• Char Siu–Style Pork Belly — Leafy lettuce, savory glaze

• Longevity Noodles — Texas Chinese BBQ, house chorizo

• Golden Veggie Fried Rice — Crispy garlic, sesame

Ticket Options

General Admission tickets are priced at $85++ per person and include reserved seating for the evening’s festivities and discounted valet parking at $10.

The VIP Experience is available for $150++ per person and includes preferred seating, two cocktails during the cocktail hour, and complimentary valet parking.
