Eric Church cancels San Antonio concert but makes up for it

Country crooner Eric Church isn’t sitting right with his San Antonio fans right now after posting a message saying that he has to cancel his show that was supposed to happen inside the AT&T Center on Saturday, April 2, 2022.

In a letter to his ticket holders nearly four days before his show, Church said that he will be watching the big Final Four game in which his beloved Tar Heels is playing the Duke Blue Devils, which was a dream of his and other sports enthusiasts. He even mentioned in the letter that it was “the most selfish thing” that he had asked for his fans. All tickets were refunded.

But ticket holders didn’t want to be silenced. They ripped Church and questioned his loyalty to his fans.

Church responded to the backlash with a social media message saying that ticket holders will be invited to a one-of-a-kind show that will take place at Whitewater Amphitheater on September 2, 2022 in New Braunfels, Texas, north of San Antonio.

“Thank you for letting me take my family to this game,” Church writes. “It took a minute to figure out how and when I could properly express my thanks. I will be coming to Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas on Friday, September 2, 2022 for a ONE of a kind FREE show for those of you who bought tickets and were planning to attend our cancelled San Antonio show. Details to be announced soon.”
