San Antonio, TX — El Paso’s renowned chilaquiles restaurant, BuenDia, has officially opened its doors at the former Earl Abel’s location by the Historic Pearl, located at 1639 Broadway. Operated by the esteemed Pan y Agua Group, this new eatery is set to become a hotspot for breakfast, brunch, and lunch enthusiasts, offering a tantalizing array of Mexican and American favorites.
A Convenient Culinary Experience
BuenDia’s new spot operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM to 4 PM. Diners can enjoy their meals in the spacious indoor seating area or on the inviting outdoor patio. With a small parking lot in front and additional spaces in the back, patrons can park for free—an advantage given the often challenging and costly parking situation near the Pearl. However, customers are advised to use the parking solely for restaurant visits and not for extended trips to the Pearl.
A Fiesta of Flavors
The menu at BuenDia is a feast for the senses, featuring freshly made chilaquiles in a variety of flavors, including Verdes, Rojo, Entomatados, Creamy Green, Chipotle, and Habaneros. For taco lovers, options like Choriqueso, Pollo Dorado, Carnitas, and Carne Asada are available. For those with a hearty appetite, the El Super Burro—a mouthwatering combination of Chilaquiles Verdes with Carne Asada, two scrambled eggs, smothered in creamy green and chipotle salsas, topped with crema, cilantro, and onions—is a must-try. Another standout is the Mega Torta, featuring creamy green chilaquiles, black beans, avocado, pickled onion, cilantro, queso fresco, all crowned with an easy egg.
Something for Everyone
Not in the mood for Mexican cuisine? BuenDia offers a variety of traditional American breakfast options, including strawberry pancakes and more. To complement the meal, a range of non-alcoholic drinks like aguas frescas is available, alongside a robust selection of cocktails crafted from the restaurant’s extensive liquor offerings. Beer enthusiasts can opt for buckets to keep the party going, and brunch-goers will appreciate the mimosas.

With its diverse menu, convenient location, and welcoming atmosphere, BuenDia is poised to become a beloved destination in the Historic Pearl area. Whether you’re a fan of chilaquiles or simply looking for a great brunch spot, BuenDia promises a delightful dining experience.
