SAN ANTONIO, TX — After building a loyal following with weekend sellouts at the Pearl Farmers Market, Dough Baby is taking the next step in its journey by opening its first brick-and-mortar bakery in Olmos Park.
The locally loved bakery will celebrate the grand opening of its permanent home at 4219 McCullough Ave., Suite 2 on Saturday, July 18, with a community celebration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring giveaways, raffles, and complimentary treats for early guests.
Founded by longtime San Antonio restaurant professional and former Pearl Farmers Market manager Nancy Fitch, Dough Baby has become known for its handcrafted Texified kolaches and iced-to-order cinnamon rolls. The new storefront marks a significant milestone for the business after two years of serving customers at the popular weekend market.
“What started as a fun idea has quickly grown into a dream come true,” Fitch said. “The grand opening of Dough Baby’s first brick-and-mortar wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of our San Antonio community and everyone who has visited us at the Pearl Farmers Market.”
While Dough Baby’s signature cinnamon rolls and kolaches remain at the heart of the menu, the new bakery will offer an expanded lineup of freshly baked treats. Customers can also enjoy baby cakes, seasonal pies, classic cookies, daily quiche, and a curated selection of coffee and tea, creating a convenient grab-and-go destination for breakfast and lunch.
The grand opening festivities begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. The first 50 guests in line will receive a complimentary cinnamon roll, while anyone making a purchase through 2 p.m. will receive a coupon for a free kolache on their next visit.
Visitors can also participate in an in-store raffle for a chance to win one of three Dough Baby gift cards valued at $25, $50, and $100. Guests who RSVP through Eventbrite and make a purchase during the event will receive a raffle ticket at checkout.
Although Dough Baby is expanding into its own storefront, fans of the bakery won’t have to change their weekend routine. The business will continue serving its signature cinnamon rolls and Texified kolaches every weekend at the Pearl Farmers Market.
Following the grand opening, Dough Baby will be open Wednesday through Monday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed on Tuesdays.
