San Antonio, TX – November 11, 2024 – Dollar General is enhancing its offerings for San Antonio residents with the addition of fresh produce at its recently remodeled store on 8619 Ray Ellison Blvd. The store now includes a selection of fruits and vegetables, complementing the variety of trusted products and brands Dollar General is known for.

This new offering is part of a larger initiative by Dollar General to make fresh produce available at more than 5,400 locations nationwide, aiming to improve access to affordable, nutritious food. Dollar General’s produce selection includes essential items commonly found in grocery stores, such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, apples, bananas, and salad mixes. In addition to fresh produce, the store provides customers with an array of household staples, including frozen foods, canned goods, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, and over-the-counter medicines.

Dollar General’s commitment to community goes beyond product offerings. Through the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, the company actively supports literacy and educational initiatives across the country. Schools, nonprofits, and libraries within a 15-mile radius of the store are eligible to apply for grants.
