Crowdfunding created for victims of River Walk bar shooting

The deadly shooting that occurred at Ventura claimed the lives of two people and left five injured at a “Living The Dream” music event. Officials identified 20-year-old Robert Jay Martinez III and 25-year-old Alejando Robles as the two victims that died from the shooting at the club on January 19, 2020.

Separate online crowdfunding campaigns with GoFundMe were set up for Robert and Alejandro.

The backstory:

San Antonio Police had arrested 19-year-old Kiernan Christopher Williams in connection with the shooting. Police Chief William McManus stated that he will be facing two counts of capital murder.

Williams fired shots “indiscriminately” in the club all due to an altercation he had. Williams had fled the scene of the crime only to be caught around the 100 block of South Zarzamora Street. Williams told reporters that he acted in “self defense” and said “he told me because I bumped into him he was gon’ kill me.”

Investigators said that at least one of the victims knew Williams.

Among the injured was a 46-year-old woman, and four males who were aged 16 to 19 and are expected to recover from their injuries according to officials.
