San Antonio, TX – Alternative music fans in San Antonio are getting a nostalgic boost as Connoisseur Media has officially brought back 103.3 The App, reviving the brand on 103.3 K277CX Terrell Wells and 94.1 KTFM-HD2 Floresville.
The format return marks a full-circle moment for the station, which previously aired on K277CX and KTFM-HD2 from February 2015 to April 2017. In the years since, the frequency has cycled through multiple identities — Classic Hip Hop, Hip Hop, Sports, Tejano, and Sports again — before landing back on the familiar Alternative sound listeners once embraced. This revival represents the second format change for the translator in 2025, following a brief simulcast of Tejano 95.7 KLEY-FM earlier this year before flipping to rebroadcast ESPN 1250 on February 20.
A familiar voice is also returning with the station. DJ Mighty Iris, a member of the original air staff during the station’s first run, will take on afternoon hosting duties from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Iris, who has since tracked for Alpha/Connoisseur stations nationwide, currently appears in middays on 93.7 KCLB in Palm Springs, on Amarillo’s 102.9 The Rattler, and on nights for Portland’s AAA 101.9 KINK. Her return brings added continuity and credibility to the resurrected brand.
The comeback has been welcomed by longtime listeners, especially those who followed the earlier era of 103.3 The App and its signature Alternative playlist. Connoisseur Media’s decision to revive the station signals renewed confidence in the format and its local fan base.
With its return now official, 103.3 The App is once again streaming Alternative hits across the San Antonio region, accompanied by the tagline fans have been waiting to hear:
103.3 The App is back.
