Clementine Invites San Antonio to Community Cake ‘Slice Swap’
Guests can bring a whole cake, trade slices and celebrate fall with fellow dessert lovers.
SAN ANTONIO – Cake lovers have a sweet reason to gather this weekend as Clementine hosts its annual Slice Swap, a community cake party centered around sharing desserts, meeting fellow bakers and celebrating fall flavors.
The event takes place Saturday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Clementine, located at 2195 NW Military Highway in San Antonio. There is no entry fee to participate.
The idea is simple: guests bring one whole cake to share and exchange slices with other participants. Instead of heading home with only one dessert, attendees can leave with a collection of different cake slices from throughout the community.
“Slice Swap is an annual tradition I love because it brings people together over something as simple as cake,” Clementine pastry chef and co-owner Elise Russ said. “Everyone brings something to share, and you get to taste what others have made, connect with fellow dessert lovers and leave with a little bit of everything.”
Participants are asked to bring their own take-home containers along with a label identifying their cake and its ingredients.
Wine and coffee will also be available for purchase during the event for guests who want to stick around for cake, drinks and conversation.
