City to host 2019 Fourth of July Celebration at Woodlawn Lake Park

The City of San Antonio will celebrate the official Independence Day celebration at Woodlawn Lake Park ( 1103 Cincinnati Ave ) in partnership with the San Antonio Parks Foundation.

The event starts up at 11a.m. going till 9:30p.m. with a firework finale at 9p.m. This event is free and open to the public in celebration of the nation’s birthday and honoring our freedom.

Live entertainment includes DJ Plata, Chulita Vinyl Club and the U.S. Air Force Band of the West. There will be carnival style games and rides as well as many family friendly activities and workshops inside the family pavilion. The pool will be open so you and your family can cool off during the hottest part of the day.

Curious George will make an appearance scheduled from 3p.m. to 7p.m.

If you’re hungry, swing my local food trucks or vendors for hot dogs, burgers, tacos and bbq along with aquas frescas, sweet tea and cold soft drinks.
