City shuts down Traders Village from opening this weekend

Late in the afternoon the city attorney told Traders Village that they couldn’t open this weekend.

“We were very surprised and strongly disagree with this decision” General Manager Rudy Escamilla. “We feel we should be treated the same as any other retailer or shopping mall. It is a really unfortunate decision for the over 500 small businesses that operate Traders Village.”

Traders Village wasn’t the only business of its kind to be affected. The city also went after several other flea markets to stop them from opening up their doors.
