City plans to drain the San Antonio river for maintenance

Starting on Monday, January 6, 2020 through Thursday, January 9, 2020, the city of San Antonio will begin draining the water from the San Antonio river in efforts to keep the River Walk area clean and beautiful for tourists and residents.

The draining will start at Josephine Street until South Alamo Street. The water from the River Loop to the Convention Center will not be drained and the Go Rio River cruises will continue to operate but with a slightly modified plan.
