Children’s Methodist hospital shows off new sports cars for patients

For a child, a hospital can be an intimidating place. That’s why three electronic super sports cars were donated to the Methodist Children’s Hospital with the help of Rick Cavender of Cavender Audi and Manny Diotte, the founder of The Ferrari Kid.

Young patients who are scheduled for an operation will be able to “drive” themselves from their operating room all in help to  alleviate their anxiety about their upcoming procedure.

Child Life Specialists try to help young children with toys and tools provided by the hospital to help kids not be scared.

After the ceremony, the kids got the “keys” to the sports cars to take a test drive throughout the hallways of the hospital.
