SAN ANTONIO, TX โ Easter brunch plans are coming together in elevated fashion this year as James Beardโnominated chef Leo Davila introduces a special four-course pre-fixe menu at Esencia.
Set for Sunday, April 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the limited-time brunch experience offers guests a curated menu blending traditional flavors with modern culinary flair. Reservations are strongly encouraged as seating is expected to fill quickly for the holiday.
The multi-course menu begins with a selection of starters, including deviled eggs topped with salsa macha crunch, masa sourdough avocado toast with chile oil and fresh herbs, and seasonal fruit served with whipped yogurt, citrus, and granola.
Second-course offerings highlight comforting brunch staples with a twist, such as house-made biscuits paired with chorizo cream gravy and a savory breakfast fried rice featuring soft egg, crispy shallots, and a choice of chorizo or pork belly.
For the main course, guests can choose from dishes like barbacoa chilaquiles layered with salsa roja, queso fresco, and pickled red onion, brioche French toast bites with horchata mousse and berry compote, or a hearty plate of bacon, sausage, and twice-fried papas.
The experience concludes on a sweet note with dessert options including churro bread pudding with horchata cream and dulce de leche, or an Easter mini cake featuring peach and raspberry flavors with a light chantilly cream.
Guests can elevate their brunch with optional add-ons, including a warm pan dulce monkey bread served with piloncillo glaze and candied pecans, as well as a complimentary sparkling Easter toast. Pricing ranges from $75 to $85 per guest for the standard menu, and up to $95 with enhancements.
