Cerveceria Chapultepec closes both San Antonio locations

In a post to social media, the popular one price Cerveceria Chapultepec from Mexico has permanently closed their two locations. The first ever location was the company’s first operation in the United States near the Historic Pearl. The second location was on the far west side near Loop 410 and Highway 151.

It wasn’t revealed on why the abrupt closure occurred. However, there were legal lawsuits filed against the restaurant. One from May 2021 showing a $20 million lawsuit after 43-year-old Beatrice Gonzalez was riding with her bicycle club when she was struck and killed by a black sedan driven by Samantha Castillo in front of Central Catholic High School. The 22-year-old driver was charged with intoxication manslaughter according to the San Antonio Express News.

The locations in Mexico are still operational.
